​Born from Cuban roots and Latin passion, Cubavera’s story begins with a family legacy. In 1967, George Feldenkreis and his brother Isaac founded Supreme International, first importing school uniforms before becoming renowned for their craftsmanship of guayaberas—the iconic embroidered shirts that embody Latin culture. George’s Miami expansion earned him the title “Guayabera King,” laying the foundation for what would become a global fashion empire.

The 1999 acquisition of Perry Ellis International marked a turning point, establishing the company as a leader in men’s sportswear. But the Feldenkreis family vision extended further—they saw an opportunity to celebrate their heritage through a bold new lifestyle brand. In 2000, Cubavera was born.
